Critiques
This image works well in so many levels
Love her pose which gives a slight 'sad' feel to it in my mind
At the same time how her hair falls and creates the soft wave blending in to the blur gives a more soft and creepy feel than a direct scary one
The mainly monotone but still slightly saturated colors give the feeling that this is a scene from a dream or an ancient memory that haunts us
It makes me wonder what was the story of her
Why is she standing there staring in to my eyes
Is she in pain? Does she want to haunt me? Does she want to hurt me?Or does she just want someone brave enough to approach her?
I also love the intentional blur which adds to the entire dreamy and sort of surreal feel of it
This picture tells stories. I want to know if the girl is in pain? Scared? Is she alive or is the a ghost? The softness of the little escaped tendrils of hair combine beautifully with the softness of the net at the bottom of the petticoat to frame the rest of the model's body.
I don't really have any suggestions. The girl-with-tortured-soul theme is one that has been played out many times by many different artists, but you bring something special to it - atmosphere.
